Lutterworth is an historic market town and civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire. Lutterworth is linked to aviation history, as it was here that Sir Frank Whittle, the inventor of the jet engine, developed and tested his groundbreaking work during the 1930s at the British Thomson-Houston factory.
